Aanqoun

Aanqoun is within the province of southern Lebanon, Zahrani, and it is 14 km away from the coastal city of Sidon to the south east. The town rises about 400 meters above sea level. neighborhoods are scattered number of hills. A main road go through the town extends to about 4 km. Spread on the sides of the road houses and shops. Aanqoun covers an area of 920 hectares. It is the fifth largest town in the judiciary in terms of area. And word Aanqoun came from the Syriac language which means "the blue eye".
